Integrated AV Solutions for a London Design Studio
Creating Connected, Flexible Workspaces
Background
One of London's leading office design and build specialists who create high-performance workplaces for ambitious businesses. Our client had acquired offices near its London headquarters as a dedicated environment to support project teams, collaboration and client meetings.
As part of its major refurbishment, Display Manager was appointed to design and install a complete audio visual technology solution across the new workplace.
The Vision
The project required AV technology that would support a wide range of meeting and collaboration requirements while integrating seamlessly with their carefully designed interiors. The client wanted to change from Zoom to a Microsoft Teams solution to align with its headquarters.
With a demanding programme and multiple contractors working simultaneously on a relatively compact site, coordination was critical. The AV installation involved complex first and second fix requirements, with as many as 30 to 40 people working on site at the same time.
Display Manager worked closely with all client stakeholders from the outset to understand the project's objectives, budget and programme. A dedicated Project Manager was appointed to coordinate the AV installation with the wider fit-out programme and ensure that each system was delivered to the required specification and timescale.
Our Solution
Consistent technology for effortless collaboration
Display Manager created a standardised AV experience across the meeting spaces, combining intuitive controls, wireless connectivity and high-quality audio and video.
The aim was simple: make every meeting easy to start, regardless of the room or the user's level of technical experience.
Across the meeting spaces, users can start a meeting with a simple touch of the Crestron control panel, instantly activating the room's conferencing equipment without the need for multiple cables or complicated set-up.
The latest Crestron room booking panels were also installed throughout the meeting rooms, providing a simple and consistent interface for room scheduling and management.
Training was delivered while construction and finishing works were still taking place, ensuring that users were ready to make the most of the new technology from day one.
High-performance meeting room technology
Larger meeting spaces feature Cloud CS-C6W ceiling speakers, Shure MX920 microphones and intelligent Q-SYS PTZ cameras, providing high-quality audio and video coverage throughout the room.
An open office audio systems was installed in the open meeting space. The ceiling microphones were carefully spray-painted to match the pendant speakers, helping the technology blend discreetly into the interior design.
Smaller meeting rooms use Jabra PanaCast 50 video conferencing bars with 55-inch LG displays, providing a compact, high-performance solution suited to smaller spaces.
For larger meeting areas, 75-inch and 86-inch LG displays provide a larger canvas for presentations, collaboration and video conferencing.
By standardising the technology across the workplace, teams benefit from a familiar user experience in every room. Meetings can start quickly and confidently, while remote participants receive the same high-quality, inclusive experience as those in the room.
Technology designed around the interior
The AV solution was designed not simply to provide high-performance technology, but to complement the interior design of the newly refurbished offices.
Equipment was selected and installed with careful consideration of the finished environment, helping technology become an integrated part of the workplace rather than an intrusive addition.
From discreet ceiling-mounted audio to carefully positioned displays and concealed infrastructure, the result is a clean, consistent and professional environment that reflects our fit-out partner’s own approach to workplace design.
Enhanced communication with digital signage
Digital signage was incorporated throughout the meeting spaces, providing additional opportunities for branding and communication.
Each meeting room display supports bespoke on-screen backgrounds, requiring the installation of graphics cards within the displays to deliver the required visual experience.
A digital signage content management platform provides centralised control of the screens, with an intuitive drag-and-drop interface making it easy to create and manage content.
Bespoke reception display installation
The reception area features two 49-inch displays positioned in the front window, creating a prominent digital communications and branding feature.
The installation presented an additional challenge, with technicians working within a space of just 350mm between the structural column and the front glass. The team carefully coordinated the brackets, cabling and display installation within this restricted space, demonstrating the attention to detail required to deliver a high-quality finish in a challenging environment.
A successful project delivered through partnership
The close working relationship between Display Manager and our fit-out partner was fundamental to the successful delivery of the project. Through a combination of detailed planning, dedicated project management and close coordination on site, Display Manager delivered a consistent AV experience across the new workplace while working within the demanding requirements of the wider fit-out programme.
The result is a flexible, intuitive and visually integrated technology environment that enables the client’s project teams and clients collaborate with ease and confidence in the meeting technology solution.
“A big personal and professional thanks from me to you all for the support you have provided so that we can deliver this fantastic project. The space looks amazing and everyone that has visited absolutely loves it. We have even shown some of our clients around, so that should work out for us all one way or another at some point in time. Thanks again everyone; amazing achievement.”

The Result
The project was delivered in 66 days, well within the 6-month programme, requiring close coordination between Display Manager, the client and wider project team.
The project has created a consistent, high-performance audio visual environment that supports collaboration across the offices while complementing the workplace's design.
The standardised approach means users can move between meeting spaces without having to learn different systems, while integrated room booking, wireless conferencing, digital signage and high-quality audio and video provide a seamless experience.
For our client, the project demonstrates how carefully designed audio visual technology can become an integral part of a modern workplace – supporting people, enhancing communication and complementing the spaces in which they work.
